Biography

Jeff Kuykendall has an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Washington, where he studied under award-winning authors Charles R. Johnson and Charles D’Ambrosio. He is an award recipient in the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts’ Arts Recognition and Talent Search. Ever since writing his first novel in elementary school, his focus has been writing fiction. Most recently he completed a manuscript for a novel called Ambergris, currently in the editing stage, and he is already hard at work on a sequel, which is strongly influenced by The Arabian Nights. In his spare time he blogs about film and indie rock; in the latter capacity he was recently interviewed in The Onion’s Decider. His liner notes graced #1 Hits Explosion, the greatest hits album from one of the most influential indie rocks bands of the 90’s, The Apples in Stereo. He is currently married and residing in Madison, Wisconsin.
